I took the original Pokémon Red source code, assembled it with rgbds into a Game Boy ROM, then compiled a patched binjgb emulator to WebAssembly via Emscripten. The result: a fully playable Pokémon Red running in your browser — no server, no backend, just a .wasm file and a dream. Save states persist in IndexedDB.
